Having spent the last few years travelling the UK holidaying in cottages (dog friendly) we have now stayed in many, Big Barn is by far the best we have ever seen and stayed in. Congratulations on creating such a peaceful and luxurious space! Should have been on Grand Designs!! It has made our honeymoon one we will never forget and we will be back more than once. Many thanks for the personal touches when we arrived made us feel very welcome and special. Monty our West Highland Terrier loved chasing his ball the full length of the barn and then relaxing on the heated floor, thanks for thinking about dog owners!

Thank you for such an amazing time! Big Barn has the Wow factor in lorry loads! We thoroughly enjoyed our stay and would love to come back.

We couldn't have enjoyed our stay more, from grandparents to 2 ½ year old twins Big Barn appeals to all. You've thought of everything, Caroline thank you for a really memorable holiday. We've loved the beautiful big space you've created and the natural beauty of Slapton. Hopefully we will be back soon.

Where do we begin….Caroline, your Big Barn has provided us with the most perfectly brilliant location for our week-end of nuptial celebrations, all our guests have been overwhelmed by his fantastic spot. The Tipis looked brilliant in the orchard, and our ceremony in the lambing shed was idyllically romantic. We would not change a single thing about this special week-end, and cannot tell you how much we appreciate all your hard work and consideration. Thank you.

When we booked Big Barn we only knew the advertising material and we were not quite sure whether or not the place and the experience could match our expectations. But when we arrived here after a long and stressful journey all the way from Germany, when we first met the lovely lady Caroline and saw her Barn we were simply overwhelmed, the house is carefully and beautifully designed and was perfectly built equipped and decorated, to make a long story short, our expectations have been surpassed by far. If there hadn't been the narrow roads our holiday stay in the middle of nowhere couldn't have been more convenient and enjoyable. Caroline is not only the gifted creator of this place but also very charming and caring as well as a perfect host. She did everything to make us all feel home from home. We thank Caroline very much and recommend this place to everyone. We would all love to return one day.

Well done Big Barn for giving us a wonderful family break and big welcome into the world of 5 star holidays - may we wish you all the best for the future and very good luck with all the lovely plans still to come, and just to say to Caroline……sorry but we hope to come back!!!!!

Total heaven for all us city bods! We've loved every second and are going back to the big smoke Very much happier, more relaxed and a few jeans sizes bigger than when we arrived after an amazing week of eating and drinking our way around South Devon. Thank you so much for thinking of everything we could have possibly needed. The countryside rocks!!!! We'll be back…!!!! All of Wimbledon London!

Wish we didn't have to leave this magical place - you deserve tremendous credit for the pleasure and enjoyment Big Barn has provided for us and so many others. We will definitely be back! Spacious and beautiful, geese on the lawn, lambs in the fields, Wordsworth would have loved it. It offers a superb holiday to everyone who holidays here. Walks, beaches, restaurants, sailing swimming or even people who simply need to leave the hustle and bustle of city life and enjoy the magic of Big Barn. Thank you we will be back.

We loved every second, to us Big Barn is the jewel, the Emerald of Devon with its glistening cloak of green so we leave our hearts in L'Emeraude de Larcombe with the joy of knowing we will see this beauty again next summer.

Though the weather was not great we were never bored with the pool, darts, tv's, swings, piano, table tennis, tractor and the space to run around. The lake was a perfect view and Tudur loved it. Thanks a lot we had a great week

We have really enjoyed a very relaxing week in this beautiful barn, our granddaughter is going home with a new vocabulary of animal sounds. We are all going to miss the peace and tranquillity of the area as we head back towards London and Surrey. Thank you so much Caroline.
