If you can drag yourself away from Big Barn the following are some great ways to spend days out:

National Trust Houses

There are a number of National Trust houses to visit including:

Coleton Fishacre, Overbecks Greenways (former home of Agatha Christie)

Coastal Walks

There are some sensational coastal walks in the area, our favourite is the walk along the South West Coast path from East Prawle to Salcombe. It is testing - but very rewarding, about six miles long and takes a good three hours, you can of course do 'snippets' of the walk! There is a great pub in East Prawle (Pig’s Nose) for a quick bevvy before you start!

Other Stuff To Do

There are oodles of excellent and exciting alternatives for less sunny days including Paignton Zoo, Woodlands Adventure Park (3 miles ) Pennywell Farm Park, Dartmouth Golf and Country Club, Dartmouth Marina Spa, China Blue (Totnes), pottery painting and shop, Sharpham wine and cheese tours, all of which are within 20-30mins drive , not to mention all of the adrenalin- rush sporting activities; even white water rafting can be found not far away!

Shops, markets, restaurants and Leisure centre Kingsbridge 5.5 miles. Dartmouth 7 miles. Salcombe 12.6 miles. Totnes 12 miles.
